Jim and I have known each other since our school days in the early sixties. His sharp brain and sense of humour were an inspiration to all who knew him. Our friendship continued over the years despite the fact that we were on different continents. During his last few visits to South Africa our lunch time get togethers were occasions I looked forward to with great anticipation. Our shared stories of family and our grandchildren gave testimony to his family values. Jim was always upbeat and fun to be with despite his health challenges.
